FBI: Former Defense Contractor Convicted Of Unlawfully Retaining Classified Information

HOUSTON, Texas  A 43-year-old man residing in the Sherman area has entered a plea of guilty to one count of unlawfully retaining national defense information, announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick and Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers.

Los Alamos County Settles Sherman Dog Case

Los Alamos County has reached a settlement agreement with Leslie Sherman in connection with an incident in March 2017 where a small dog was killed by Sherman’s dogs at an Acoma Lane residence in White Rock.

A petition to adjudicate the two dogs as dangerous was filed in September in First Judicial Court by Los Alamos County Attorney Alvin Leaphart.

Sherman was charged in Los Alamos Magistrate Court in April with two counts of keeping an animal known to be vicious and likely to attack human beings. The dogs were seized and kept at the Los Read More

Woman Who Backed Into Unattended Vehicle Charged With Aggravated DWI

A hearing has been set for April 27 in Los Alamos Magistrate Court for Rebecca Eaton, 66, of Los Alamos on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, failure to stop upon striking an unattended vehicle and driving with an open container of alcohol.

Feb. 28, Los Alamos Police Cpl. Eric Wilhoit observed two vehicles stopped in the slow lane of west bound traffic on Trinity Drive. ALBUQUERQUE  Bronson Tony, 45, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation who resides in Gallup, was sentenced Feb. 22 in Santa Fe, Federal Court to a six-month term of imprisonment followed by one year of supervised release for making false statements to the FBI.

SANTA FE  The state Supreme Court on Monday upheld the convictions of an Albuquerque man for the death and sexual assault of his 28-day-old daughter in 2011, and the child abuse of a teenage daughter.
 
The Court’s unanimous ruling affirmed Juan Galindo’s convictions for child abuse resulting in the death of a child and two counts of aggravated sexual penetration of the infant daughter, and a conviction of child abuse for endangering the emotional health of a daughter who was 13 years old at the time.
