Former Los Alamos resident Stephen Geisik, 27, is incarcerated at the Los Alamos Detention Center after his arrest by New Mexico State Patrol Ofc. Jacob de Leon on two child abuse charges.

The new charges violate the terms of Geisik’s probation in a 2012 Los Alamos case.

Los Alamos County Councilor Susan O’Leary’s personal attorney, Kate Ferlic, has filed a brief in First Judicial District Court on her behalf, in a case filed against the Council and the County’s Designated Custodian of Records Barb Ricci by former Los Alamos resident Patrick Brenner, under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA).

AZTEC ― Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Thursday that the New Mexico Supreme Court agreed with the Office of the Attorney General Criminal Appeals Division and denied the appeal of Shanah Chadwick-McNally in her first-degree murder case for the bludgeoning death and robbery of an Aztec man.

Probation Violation Lands Lopez In Jail For A Year

Probation was revoked Feb. 8 for Melody Lopez, 31, of San Juan Pueblo by Fifth Judicial District Jennifer Attrep and she was remanded to the Los Alamos County Detention Center until Dec. 15.

Lopez was on probation under a global plea agreement reached in 2015 on a Los Alamos County case and two Rio Arriba County cases. Tyson Collins will remain in the Los Alamos Detention Center until March 15 when he is slated to go before Fifth Judicial District Chief Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer for a status hearing on his living arrangements and electronic monitoring issues in his home state of Washington.

Krista Wilhelm Gets 478 Days For Probation Violation

Krista Wilhelm, 33, of Los Alamos will remain in Los Alamos County Detention Center until June 13, 2019, following her Feb. 20 admission to violating her probation.
