Karyne Archuleta, 54, of Espanola was bound over to First Judicial District Court Friday on a charge of embezzlement of more than $17,500 from her former employer, Annette Wyrauch, owner of Physical Therapy Plus in Los Alamos.

Embezzlement Charge Against Amy Woods Dismissed

An embezzlement charge in Los Alamos Magistrate Court against Amy Woods of Los Alamos has been dismissed by Fifth Judicial District Attorney Kent Wahlquist.

The dismissal, filed Friday, states that Woods has been accepted into the Pre-Prosecution Division Program (PPDP) and notes that the state may refile the charge if she fails to successfully complete the program. The case was on the docket for a status hearing and Woods did not appear in person.

Jessie Currie, 21, of Los Alamos was granted a conditional discharge and placed on three years of supervised probation by First Judicial District Judge T. Glenn Ellington Feb. 19 in Santa Fe.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, Currie agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit trafficking. He could have faced a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

White Rock Woman Arrested On Fraud, Forgery, ID Theft Charges

Krysti Hernandez, 47, of White Rock is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 23 in Los Alamos Magistrate Court on three charges of fraud, three charges of forgery and two charges of theft of identity.

Hernandez was arrested by Santa Fe Police Department Feb. 15 on an outstanding arrest requested Aug. 8 by Los Alamos Police Det. Ryan Wolking. Hernandez also has an outstanding warrant issued July 27 in another Los Alamos Magistrate Court case involving two counts of fraud.

Medinger Under Arrest Warrant For Failure To Appear

Los Alamos Magistrate Judge issued a warrant Friday for the arrest of Kevin Medinger, 32, of Los Alamos after he failed to appear in Court for a preliminary hearing on five felony counts in connection with the theft of a firearm and cash from a local residence.

 

Medinger is charged with aggravated burglary (armed after entering), larceny of a firearm $500 to $2,500, larceny over $500 to $2,500 ($600 cash), receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a felon.
