Los Alamos Magistrate Judge Pat Casados opted Monday in court to keep Victoria Espinoza in jail on a cash only secured bond for $3,000 unless she can be admitted to an inpatient drug treatment facility.

ALBUQUERQUE — A federal judge has rejected New Mexico’s second request to dismiss a lawsuit that asserts the state Department of Game and Fish’s 2016 decision to open a cougar trapping season on public lands—for the first time in almost 50 years—violates the Endangered Species Act.

Victoria Espinoza of White Rock was arrested Friday afternoon on an arrest warrant issued by Los Alamos Magistrate Court Judge Pat Casados.

First Judicial District Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer accepted a plea agreement this morning from Dustin Bingham, 37, of Los Alamos in a case involving five charges of criminal sexual contact with minors.

Judge Marlowe Sommer ordered Bingham transported to the Mexico Corrections Department Diagnostic Center in Los Lunas prior to sentencing.

FBI: Roswell Woman Gets 63 Months For Methamphetamine Trafficking And Firearms Conviction

ALBUQUERQUE – Renee Rodriguez, 33, of Roswell was sentenced today in federal court in Las Cruces to 63 months in prison for her conviction on methamphetamine trafficking and firearms charges. Rodriguez will be on supervised release for three years after completing her prison sentence.
