Charges have been filed against two men arrested by the Los Alamos police shortly before 10 p.m. Friday after they fled from Smith’s Marketplace in a pick-up and allegedly attempted to run down LAPD Cpl. Robert Larsen. One shot was fired by police during the incident and the truck struck two cars and several mail boxes.

Three women were arrested on drug-related charges early Saturday morning following a traffic stop of a white Cadillac at Smith’s Gas Station on Trinity Drive by Los Alamos Police Sgt. Andrew Goldie.

FBI: Hobbs Man Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Federal Law Enforcement Officer

  • Defendant Admits Pointing Firearm at DEA Task Force Officer

ALBUQUERQUE – Felipe T. Castillo, 38, of Hobbs pled guilty Thursday afternoon in federal court in Las Cruces to assaulting a federal law enforcement officer under a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

 

Castillo was arrested June 13, 2017, on a criminal complaint charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to the complaint, Castillo pointed a firearm at a DEA Task Force Officer May 31, 2017, in Lea County.

Plea Agreement Reached In Stahl Case

Under the terms of a plea agreement signed Aug. 21 in First Judicial Court in Santa Fe, Aleah Stahl agreed to plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

She will serve one year of supervised probation with inpatient treatment as approved by Adult Parole and Probation. A second charge of shoplifting was dismissed under the agreement.
