County Files Motion In Stimmel Case

Los Alamos County Associate Attorney Kevin J. Powers has filed a motion in Los Alamos Municipal Court asking for the revocation of a suspended sentence for Jay Stimmel in four cases related to the roof of a home on Kayenta Drive in White Rock. The charges in all four cases were for having a roof in disrepair.

The motion states that at an Aug. 14 hearing before Municipal Judge Alan Kirk, the court found Stimmel guilty in each of four cases and imposed a fine of $500 in each case. It states that a portion of the fines for three of the cases was suspended and the fourth fine was fully suspended. Read More

Vigil, 23, of Santa Fe, will serve 191 days in Santa Fe County Detention Center and 566 days of supervised probation when released under the terms of a judgment issued by First Judicial District Judge T.
