The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the opening of the new cafe “Sugar & Cream” with a ribbon cutting 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11 at 1789 Central Ave. in downtown Los Alamos.

Pig + Fig Café Owner and Executive Chef Laura Crucet is opening her second restaurant in Los Alamos County, expanding to downtown Los Alamos in the MainStreet District, in the former Starbucks space. “Sugar & Cream” will offer coffee, house made pastries and gelato. Los Alamos National Laboratory retirees, and potential retirees (LRG) are invited to drop in at the LRG monthly breakfast social, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Muy Salsas at 1315 Trinity Dr.

LRG will pay for coffee and tea and individuals pay for their breakfast and other drinks.

Sirphey Offering Thanksgiving Meals Thursday At Bandelier

Sirphey, the local restaurant group that provides food from around the world, is offering its annual Thanksgiving meals at its Bandelier National Monument location Thanksgiving Day.

Holiday service will run between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Bandelier.
