The community is invited to Los Alamos Family Council’s second monthly dinner and a movie fundraiser.

Enjoy frito pie and a movie at SALA Event Center.

Every month on the Second Tuesday of the month, LAFC will host a dinner and a movie fundraiser. Proceeds will support their programs at the Counseling Center and the Youth Activity Centers.

Make the Second Tuesday Movie Night your monthly night on the town!

Dinner will available beginning at 5:30 p.m. The movie will start at 6 p.m.

Cowboy Breakfast At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge March 3, 2024

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse are stewards of the historical lodge l at 650 North Mesa Road. We host a monthly charity breakfast that supports local Los Alamos County non-profit organizations. Profits from our breakfasts are given to the charity being hosted.

Our breakfast is 7-11 a.m. and hosted this month by the Los Alamos High School Band Boosters (https://www.losalmusic.com/boosters). They are a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the LAHS Marching Band, Color Guard, Drum Line, Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band programs. Read More

ROSWELL — One of the most visited McDonald’s in the world – the UFO McDonald’s in Roswell – will distribute $5,000 in visitor donations to 56 respective Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) locations across the world.

Roswell Mayor Tim Jennings and local leaders will join McDonald’s owner/operator Nic Snowberger at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 6 for a check presentation to a local RMHC representative.

In March 2023, Snowberger erected a worldwide donation box to benefit RMHC’s throughout the world, capitalizing on the multitude of tourists who visit the UFO-themed restaurant. Read More

Señor Tortas To Open Inside Smith’s Marketplace Today!

The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the opening of the new Señor Tortas location with a ribbon cutting this morning at 11 a.m. The new Señor Tortas is located inside the Smith’s Marketplace at 751 Trinity Drive.

Owner Victor Castillo is opening this restaurant inside Smith’s in the former Infinity BBQ space.
