As of 9 p.m. today, the Manhattan Project Restaurant on Central Avenue in downtown Los Alamos is closed for good. Owner Victor Medina lost his appeal for a three month extension this afternoon in bankruptcy court. The judge ordered him to cease operations at close of business today. Just in time for spring, the Rosebud Café in White Rock is making changes.

The café’s menu continues to feature organic, raw, whole grain, sugar free and gluten free foods, but since the arrival of Chef Laura Hamilton two weeks ago, the menu has been revised.

“The food is mostly organic and all natural, but it’s also really delicious homemade food,” Hamilton said.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser For Hawks FTC May 8

Friday is that day in the week where everyone is worn out and no one feels like cooking. Well, May 8 is a spaghetti dinner hosted by Hawks FTC, your Los Alamos robotics team.

Only $5 per plate, unless you bring a family of five, then it’s $20. Of course, children two and under eat free. Also, dinner comes with entertainment, a live demonstration by our award-winning robot, EPIC.

This fun and easy meal will be served 6-8 p.m. at the United Church, 2525 Canyon Road.
