Los Alamos Elks Lodge To Host Thanksgiving Dinner!

Looking for a place to go for Thanksgiving dinner? The Los Alamos Elks Lodge #2083 is hosting a “Community Thanksgiving with the Elks”, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28.

The menu will feature turkey and all the fixings.

Guests are asked to enter through the side door of the Elks Lodge (15th Street side of building) at 1601 Trinity Drive.

3rd World Posole Cooking Championships Oct. 5-6

The 3rd World Posole Cooking Championships returns to New Mexico Friday and Saturday Oct. 5-6, outdoors at Tesuque Casino in Santa Fe.

Live entertainment and an arts and crafts fair are also featured. All events are free and open to all ages.

More than $6,000 in prize money, as well as traditional Native American awards, are set to be awarded in both the public cooking competition on Saturday and the restaurant division on Sunday.
