Cooking Classes Offered May 1, 3, 8, 10

The Rio Arriba Extension Service in cooperation with NM Dept. of Health, Diabetes Prevention and Control Program and New Mexico State University Coop. Extension Service, will offer a Kitchen Creations Diabetes cooking school for people with Type II diabetes. Classes will be limited to 15 participants and participants must be willing to commit to all four classes.
 
Classes are 5:30-8:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday, May 1, 3, 8, 10, at the San Pedro Community Center, County Road 8 #30, Espanola.

The community is invited to attend the final fish fry dinner of the 2017 Lenten Season 5-7 p.m., Friday April 14 at Immaculate Heart Mary Parish Hall, 3700 Canyon Road.

The cost of the meal is $10/Adult and includes 2 pieces of fried cod, freshly made coleslaw and rice or $7/children and includes 1 piece of fried cod, freshly made coleslaw and rice or a grilled cheese sandwich and French fries. (French fries are available with all meals).

Time Out Pizzeria on Central Avenue in Los Alamos will close its doors at 9 p.m., Friday, but will reopen in a new location later this year, owners Omar and Trisha Sanchez told the Los Alamos Daily Post this afternoon. The White Rock location on N.M. 4 will remain open and the Los Alamos team will transfer over there.

IHM’s Fish Fry Fridays Drawing Record Crowds

Record crowds are gathering in the parish hall at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3700 Canyon Road, each week for the annual Fish Fry Fridays dinner offered during the Lenten season, according to organizers.
