Early Closure Of Non-essential County Government Services Due To Inclement Weather

COUNTY News:
Acting Los Alamos County Manager Linda Matteson has ordered an early release for non-essential county employees and the early closure of all non-essential county government facilities at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 6, due to inclement weather.
The Board of Public Utilities Work Sessions will proceed as planned today at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at 1000 Central Ave., with an option to join via Zoom.
Participants are encouraged to attend virtually.
Additionally, there will be no disruption to today’s refuse and recycling

Medical Associates of Northern New Mexico (MANNM) welcomes Family Nurse Practitioner Sara Andersen, FNP.

Andersen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice through Baylor University and holds a Master of Nursing Science from the University of San Diego and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Santa Clara University.

The Los Alamos Community Foundation (LACF) has hired Brandi Weiss as a new Anchorum Fellow Program Manager dedicated to community health and wellness. Her role will include assessing the needs of the community, and determining how LACF might collaborate with Anchorum Health Foundation (AHF), local nonprofits, Los Alamos County and donors to meet some of those needs.

New Mexico Activities Association Board Appoints Dusty Young Next Executive Director

The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Board of Directors voted on Thursday to name Dusty Young the next NMAA Executive Director. 

He will fill the position left by Sally Marquez, who recently announced her retirement. Young will begin his position as NMAA Executive Director on Nov.  1. He has been in the role of NMAA Associate Director since 2012.

The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund of the U.S. Department of Treasury recently selected Enterprise Financial CDE, LLC (EFCDE), the subsidiary of Enterprise Financial Services Corp (NASDAQ: EFSC), to receive a $50 million allocation of New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC).
