There is still time to see the latest nature center full-dome planetarium film, Mysteries of the Unseen World. Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is showing this fascinating film in the planetarium at 2 p.m., March 12, 13, 26, and 27.
 
This planetarium film lets us embark on an adventure to discover unseen worlds and hidden dimensions beyond our view. With the help of technology, we can unravel the mysteries of things too fast, too slow, too small or simply invisible.

A unique entertainment experience is coming to Duane Smith Auditorium in Los Alamos at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 12, a live stand-up comedy and music! In it’s second year, “LOL! Los Alamos” will feature four New Mexico comics in a family friendly show with special musical guest, The Pleasure Pilots.

 

Tickets will be sold at the door for $15 or $10 for students and seniors. All proceeds will benefit the Los Alamos High School Band program and their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C. for the National Independence Day Parade.

The first film ever in which a Latino was nominated for an Oscar, Director Robert Montgomery’s “Ride the Pink Horse” (1947), will screen at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos.

In this noir-style film shot in Santa Fe, Gagin (Montgomery) speaks few words but carries a big secret — or at least, so it seems — all the way to the border town of San Pablo, where FBI Agent Bill Retz (Art Smith) and bad guy Frank Hugo (Fred Clark) figure him out posthaste, or so it seems.
