LAFC Shows ‘Monty Python And The Holy Grail’ Today

LAFC News:

Los Alamos Family Council will show Monty Python and the Holy Grail on the big screen starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at SALA Event Center. Come watch Graham Chapman, John Cleese and the gang fight fierce battles, savage rodents, and dispense Medieval justice.

Los Alamos Little Theatre Presents 2025 8x10s

LALT News:

It is time again for Los Alamos’ favorite 10-minute play festival: Los Alamos Little Theatre’s (LALT) 8x10s.

Performances of “The 8x10s (Snappy Name to Come)” will be 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Jan. 17-18 and Jan 24-25, as well as 2 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 19 and 26. Please note that there are two matinees.

LALT produces the 8x10s every two years. Preparations for the January show started in August with a solicitation for scripts from local playwrights and finding this year’s group of eight directors.

Backcountry Film Festival Returns To Los Alamos Jan. 30

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) and SALA Event Center have announced that they are bringing the Backcountry Film Festival to New Mexico for its exclusive screening at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at SALA.

LALT To Host Auditions For ‘Myths’ And ‘Moonbows’

LALT News:

The Los Alamos Little Theatre (LALT) has announced auditions for its March production of two one-act vignette plays, “The Myths at the Edge of the World” by Matthew Webster and “Moonbow Miraculous” by Kirk Shimano.

A diverse and intergenerational all-ages cast is sought for this family-friendly show. Children should be old enough to “sit still, pay attention, and take direction,” Director Mimi Adams said.

To commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, The Zia Singers women’s chorale is presenting a concert titled “I Have A Dream” – 7 p.m. Jan. 18 and 3 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 1107 Cristo Rey St. in Santa Fe.
