Here’s the latest on where things stand at Pajarito Mountain Ski Area: there was some snow recently, but not nearly enough to build the solid base needed to open the ski season. Alert: Main Hill Road Closed Due To Rockslide

UPDATE: As of 8:25 a.m. the Main Hill Road has been cleared and reopened.

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) report that both east and westbound lanes of N.M. 502, Main Hill Road, are closed due to a rockslide near Anderson Overlook.

LAPD officers are on scene and the New Mexico Department of Transportation is en route. Traffic is being rerouted to East Jemez Road or the Truck Route. 

At this time, there is no estimated timeline for when the roadway will reopen.
