The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released today its weekly update to the COVID-19 community level map. The CDC framework designates community levels based on diagnoses and regional hospitalization levels (link). Masks are recommended for everybody in counties at the highest, red, risk level.           • DOH advises public to take precautionary public health measures

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) has issued a public health emergency order in response to a surge of pediatric cases and hospitalizations of respiratory viruses, including respiratory syncytial virus, commonly known as RSV.

Matthew Martinez, certified instructor with the State of New Mexico and Law Enforcement Training International met recently with the Los Alamos Public Safety Association (LAPSA) to discuss regional trends in opioid overdoses and instruct the group in the use of Narcan® to treat an opioid overdose.

PCNM Discontinues COVID-19 Testing In Los Alamos

Due to staffing issues, Pathology Consultants of New Mexico (PCNM) will no longer provide drive through COVID-19 testing service in the Mari Mac Village shopping center parking lot at 759 Central Ave. effective today. 

Rapid PCR testing is still available 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday with Curative at White Rock Town Hall, 139 Long View Dr. Visit the Curative website to schedule a date and time.
