Los Alamos Family Council, First Born Partner To Pilot New 8 Week Parenting Support Group Program

Los Alamos Family Council (LAFC) and First Born Program of Los Alamos (FBPLA) have collaborated to provide a parenting support group program for the local community, Parenting with Self-Compassion.

The program will be facilitated by licensed mental health therapist Jamie A. Thordsen Monroy, of LAFC. The first meeting is Saturday Aug. 27 and will run on a weekly basis for a duration of 8 weeks.

NNMC Welcomes Students Back For In-Person Learning

ESPAÑOLA — Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) welcomes students back for face-to-face learning Monday, Aug. 15.

With the campus reopening for classes, NNMC is announcing a new location for the Curative.com mobile COVID-19 testing unit at 139 Longview Dr. in White Rock. The new testing site should be operational by Aug. 19. Curative also is  exploring other Española locations.
