COVID-19 Testing Services Delayed Today In White Rock

Update: Due to inclement weather, COVID-19 testing by Pathology Consultants of New Mexico (PCNM) today in White Rock is canceled.

The COVID-19 testing services by Pathology Consultants of New Mexico (PCNM) scheduled for this morning in White Rock is delayed due to weather.

New NMPED Hotline Offers Help For Quarantined Students

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) today launched a Quarantine Response Hotline to provide on-demand technical support and homework help to students missing school due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 The hotline, 800.805.1192, is available to quarantined and self-isolating K-12 students in districts and charter schools participating in ENGAGE New Mexico, a Public Education Department program created early in the pandemic to help keep students engaged in learning.

ALBUQUERQUE – Carlos Sanchez, Chief of Staff to U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), issued the following statement this afternoon:

“Early Thursday morning, Sen. Luján began experiencing dizziness and fatigue. He checked himself into Christus St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Santa Fe. He was then transferred to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque for further evaluation.

NMCLP: Court Orders State To Identify Languages Spoken By Families Trying To Access Food & Medical Assistance

ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty (NMCLP) announced that last week, a federal court ordered the New Mexico Human Services Department to collect data on the languages spoken by New Mexicans served by the state’s food and medical assistance program and affirmed the agency’s legal obligation to translate documents based on the demographics of those served by local agency offices.
