New Mexico COVID-19 Update Oct. 2-4: 1,776 New Cases, Totaling 255,577 With 12 New Deaths And 226,781 Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials Monday announced 1,776 additional COVID-19 cases between Saturday and Monday.

Los Alamos County reports 14 new cases between Saturday and Monday  bringing the total to 682 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 413 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 1 new case in Catron County
  • 79 new cases in Chaves County
  • 20 new cases in Cibola County

Chart 513: COVID-19 Update New Mexico Oct. 3

The number of COVID-19 related deaths in the United States has now surpassed 700,000, with 100,000 deaths since June 16. This semi-logarithmic scatter plot shows the number of COVID-19 related deaths since June 16 per 100,000 people versus the percentage of population that is fully vaccinated by state.
