Environment Department COVID-19 Watchlist: Jan. 9

NMED News:

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

There are 101 establishments on the Watchlist.

The current Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist and closure list, which includes all establishments that have been required to close, are posted here.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced this afternoon 1,507 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County reports 6 new cases today … the total is now 340 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes 22 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reports today’s most recent cases:

  • 374 new cases in Bernalillo County

New Mexico Releases COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Plan

…State moves into Phase 1B, provides details about Phases 1B, 1C and 2 

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) today released its distribution plan for Phases 1B, 1C and 2 for the COVID-19 vaccine.

DOH also announced that New Mexico has officially moved into Phase 1B of the vaccination effort.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) has announced this morning that five New Mexico public school buildings appeared on the COVID-19 Watchlist in the week ending today, Jan. 8, signifying they had at least two Rapid Responses within a 14-day period.

Those Schools Are:

  • KIRTLAND
    • Judy Nelson Elementary

DOH Offers Call Center Support For Vaccine Registration

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) Thursday announced that the DOH hotline now offers support for questions surrounding vaccine registration.

Nearly 300,000 New Mexicans have registered for vaccine at the state’s website: https://cvvaccine.nmhealth.org

The registration process is straightforward: users create a profile, enter health and other information, and then wait to receive notification from DOH when vaccine is available to them.
