Los Alamos County Emergency Management Office Calls For Volunteers To Assist With COVID Testing Beginning Jan. 19

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Emergency Management Office is issuing a call for community volunteers to assist in upcoming COVID-19 testing every Tuesday until further notice at Fuller Lodge.

Coordination for this week’s testing event, as well as the upcoming Jan. 12 event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., has been handled through the National Guard. The desire at this point is to use community volunteers to help on Tuesdays with intake, registration and supplying the Curative “swab” to individuals coming in to be tested.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced this afternoon 1,841 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County reports 11 new cases today … the total is now 327 people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes 39 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reports today the most recent cases:

  • 449 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 1 new case in Catron County
  • 77 new cases in Chaves County
  • 23 new cases in Cibola County
  • 7 new cases in Colfax County
  • 35 new cases in Curry County

Environment Department COVID-19 Watchlist: Jan. 7

NMED News:

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

There are 83 establishments on the Watchlist.

The current Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist and closure list, which includes all establishments that have been required to close, are posted here.

Los Alamos County Announces COVID-19 Testing For Community Every Tuesday At Fuller Lodge

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County’s Emergency Management Office is coordinating with the New Mexico Department of Health to hold COVID-19 testing clinics 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday at Fuller Lodge.

The next clinic will be Tuesday, Jan. 11. 

The County’s Emergency Management Office will be taking over operations for these clinics from the National Guard, which had been assisting in the past.  

To register for a test, individuals should visit the Curative website and sign up for a time slot to be tested: www.curative.com.
