SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 732 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County has another new case bringing the total to 44 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes 9 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:

  • 173 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 39 new cases in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 45 new cases in Curry County
  • 194 new cases in Doña Ana County

Los Alamos County Clerk Temporarily Suspends Drive Thru Ballot Drop Due To Inclement Weather

COUNTY News:

Effective immediately, Los Alamos County Clerk Naomi Maestas has temporarily suspended the Drive Thru Ballot Drop in the Municipal Building parking lot in the best interest of the election staff due to the inclement weather.

Voters can walk-in and hand deliver their ballot to election poll workers inside the Municipal Building or White Rock Town Hall Early Vote Centers.

The Early Vote Centers have remained opened with limited staffing for in-person voting.

Residents are encouraged to exercise caution in driving and walking to the Early Vote Centers.

New Mexico Awarded $9.6M In Behavioral Health Grants

New Mexico NMED COVID-19 Watchlist Update Oct. 24

NMED News:

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) has updated its daily Rapid Response COVID-19 Watchlist, which includes New Mexico places of employment that have had two or more rapid responses in the last 14 days.

There are 78 establishments on the Watchlist.

A rapid response is initiated when the state learns of a positive COVID-19 case in the workplace. NMED or the state agency initiating the rapid response will offer direction to establishments regarding testing, quarantining and isolating, disinfecting, and COVID-Safe Practices.
