STATE News:
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 341 additional positive tests for COVID-19.
Los Alamos County remains at 33 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.
Today’s update includes 5 new deaths related to COVID-19.
The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:
- 99 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 32 new cases in Chaves County
- 12 new cases in Cibola County
- 3 new cases in Colfax County
- 27 new cases in Curry County
- 45 new cases in Doña Ana County
- 16 new cases in Eddy County
- 1 new case in Grant County
- 26 new cases in Lea County
- 1 new

NMPED COVID-19 update:

New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) has set two health requirements for public schools to be allowed to transition to hybrid instruction. The respective county must meet two gating criteria: (1) seven-day average for daily diagnoses below 8 per 100,000 people, and (2) testing positivity rate below 5 percent. As of today, nine New Mexico counties do not meet these gating criteria.
