Calling all LAHS Alumni! Remember the Topper Fight song? Fight, fight to win. May our victory begin! 

We need all former Toppers to help our current and future Toppers in Los Alamos.

Normally going back to school doesn’t require a victory, but this year is going to be different. Students in Los Alamos will begin the year with remote learning and hopefully return to the classroom as conditions with the pandemic become safer.

Gov. Lujan Grisham Presents School Re-entry Update

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham explains during a virtual press conference Thursday afternoon that the hybrid model planned for public school students throughout the state is placed on pause until after Labor Day, Sept. 7, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. Gov. Lujan Grisham said additional time is needed to assure that a safe return to the schools can be achieved for students, faculty and educators. SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials have announced this afternoon 343 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Los Alamos County remains at 16 cases that have tested positive for COVID-19.

Today’s update announces 5 additional deaths reported in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported today the most recent cases:

  • 126 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 6 new cases in Chaves County
