New Mexico Cannabis Control Division Orders Recall Of Products Over Contamination Concerns

STATE News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Cannabis Control Division (CCD) has issued a consumer health and safety advisory after identifying contaminated cannabis pre-rolls and roll-your-own (RYO) products that tested positive for a prohibited pesticide.

The affected products, manufactured and sold by JBS Technologies NM, LLC (DBA Stash House), were distributed to licensed cannabis retailers between Jan. 1, 2024 and Nov. 25, 2024.

New Mexico State Police Conduct Operation To Tackle Crimes Against Unhoused, Provide Essential Resources

NMSP News:

SANTA FE — From Nov. 12 to Nov. 25, the New Mexico State Police Department  (NMSP), in collaboration with Santa Fe Police Department and the Region III Task Force, conducted a proactive operation in Santa Fe to identify individuals victimizing the unhoused population through various criminal activities.

 

Officers contacted 479 individuals and yielded the following results:

  • 25 felony arrests
  • 15 misdemeanor arrests
  • 13 arrests involving drugs
  • 19 arrests of habitual offenders.

Folks who want to run or walk in it are invited to come to the Los Alamos Middle School Cafeteria (North Mesa) at 1:30 p.m., register and sign the waiver, make a monetary (non-food) donation to the cause, grab a new t-shirt while they last, get some instructions, use the facilities and warm up for the course.

SANTA FE — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Wednesday that Patrick M. Allen, secretary of the New Mexico Department of Health would step down from his position at the end of the day. Allen has served in the administration for approximately two years.

“Pat has been a dedicated public servant, and I’m grateful for his contributions as secretary for the Department of Health. I wish him well in his next endeavor,” Lujan Grisham said
