Register For PEEC’s Winter & Spring Forest Explorers

PEEC News:

Registration is now open for the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC)’s Winter & Spring 2025 Forest Explorers, an exciting opportunity for kids to connect with nature, explore the great outdoors, and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world.

Designed for children in grades 1-6, Forest Explorers is a 2.5-hour drop-off program held 3-5:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting Jan. 8 through April 30, 2025 (16 sessions in total; no meeting March 19).

Los Luceros Historic Site To Host Ranger Walk ‘N Talk Tours Guiding Visitors Through Historic District Dec. 4 & 18

The community is invited to join Interpretive Ranger Kara on one of two guided tours through Los Luceros’ historic district in December.

Visitors will be guided around the site and its buildings, like the nineteenth-century chapel, and learn unique history, such as how it was rebuilt by Luis and Eliza Ortiz after the previous chapel was washed away by the Rio Grande.
