At the Sept. 24 Los Alamos Mountaineers meeting, Toni Taylor will describe her journey to climb the Centennial Peaks in Colorado. These are the 100 (actually 101) highest peaks in the state, ranging from 14,438-foot Mt. Elbert to just above 13,800 feet, and stretching from just north of the New Mexico border to the northernmost summit, Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.

2024 Elks Charity Golf Tournament Expands To 18 Holes

Thanks to the Los Alamos Golf Course, the 2024 Annual Elks Charity Golf Tournament has expanded from 12 holes to 18 holes. Sign up to play in the first tournament on the newly renovated front nine.

The tournament is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 followed by a luncheon and other festivities at the Elks Lodge at 1601 Trinity Drive.

Player registration is $125/player or $500/team and includes entry into golf scramble, greens fees, golf cart and Oktoberfest luncheon.

Los Alamos Golf Course To Re-open Saturday Sept. 21

The Los Alamos County Golf Course is scheduled to re-open Saturday, Sept. 21.

The entire front 9 will be available for play, featuring temporary tee locations for all holes.

Please note that holes #7 and #8 will have both temporary tee locations and temporary greens during this period.

The Golf Course’s online reservation system is now open, making it easy for players to book tee times.
