2023 AfroMundo Festival: Resistance & Creativity is April 15-22 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque.

AfroMundo explores the complexities of Latinidad throughout this bilingual series of music, dance, films, literature, culinary taste feasts, panel discussions and more.

Featured regions include Honduras, Peru, Brazil and the United States.

“A Historical Hit Parade” sums up the content of the Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra’s (LASO) spring concert scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, April 21 at Crossroads Bible Church.

Excellent snowmelt has Frijoles Creek running strong and surging over the falls. Spring flowers, like Golden Smoke and Alumroot, are beginning to bloom. LAHS Students Among High School Finalists From Across New Mexico To Perform At Awards Show In Popejoy Hall

From the New Mexico High School Musical Theatre Awards:

Forty high school students from across New Mexico have been named as finalists for four top awards in the biggest celebration of high school theater in the state.

The Enchantment Awards named students from 10 high schools as nominees for their annual show. The students chosen as Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor will be announced during the show in Popejoy Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28.
