Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program Season Starts July 1

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program returns Tuesday, July 1, providing nutritious, locally-grown foods to income-based eligible seniors, Native American elders and WIC families. 

WIC Families must be actively enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Participants should contact their local WIC clinic to check their eligibility and access benefits.

New Mexico Board Of Veterinary Medicine Opens Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Grants Program Application Process

The New Mexico Board of Veterinary Medicine has opened a grant application process to fund low-cost spay/neuter services for companion animals of income-qualified New Mexicans. The Board will disburse $1 million in 2025 to nonprofit spay/neuter organizations, animal shelters, and other local government entities for the purpose of increasing affordable and accessible spay/neuter services throughout the state.

NMED Offers Free Domestic Well Water Testing At Las Vegas Water Fair June 28

LAS VEGAS — The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) will host a free domestic well water testing event in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 28.
