“Merry Christmas” – What does it mean? A blessing, a wish to a neighbor or friend. A reminder of Baby Jesus, his birth, the One who came for all on earth. 

Why do we say, “Merry Christmas,” the offer of Peace, Hope and Goodwill? To share the love Christ has given, a love we can’t understand. 

This time of year we stretch out our hand to help, to share with our fellow man Those blessings He so abundantly gives to the ones for whom he died so we can live.

County Announces ARPA Individual Assistance Grants

COUNTY News: 

Officials with Los Alamos County announced today they have launched an Individual Assistance grant program utilizing funds from the U.S. Government’s COVID-19 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Administered by the County’s Social Services division, the program provides up to $2,000 in financial assistance to eligible Los Alamos County residents to help with food insecurity, rent, utilities, technology, or other household expenses that have been difficult to cover due to the global pandemic.

New Mexico Broadband Initiative Seeks Urgent Assistance From Residents To Improve Statewide Internet Access

The New Mexico Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE) is urging residents to search for their address within the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) maps and challenge inaccurate or incomplete information before the Jan. 13, 2023, deadline.
