With Christmas right around the corner, the New Mexico State Police (NMSP) is encouraging drivers to make safety a top priority this holiday, as increased travel can present additional challenges for drivers.

Biblical Archaeologist To Speak In Los Alamos Jan. 8

The Los Alamos Church of Christ will be hosting Dr. Steven Collins, PhD on Sunday Jan. 8, 2023. Dr. Collins is among the world’s foremost biblical archaeologists. He is Director of the School of Archaeology at Veritas International University and serves as Consulting Research Professor in the College of Archaeology, Trinity Southwest University. He is Director and Chief Archaeologist of the Tall el-Hammam excavations in Jordan, now entering its 16th season. Prior to Tall el-Hammam, Dr. Collins excavated at other sites in Israel and Palestine.

Atomic City Transit regular scheduled bus service and para transit will not operate Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Regular service will resume Tuesday Dec. 27, 2022.

Route 3 regular route, 2, 1 & 6 Peak Services will remain suspended until further notice due to staffing shortage.

NCRTD Announces 2022 Holiday Schedule

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) RTD Blue Buses and administrative offices will not be in operation Dec. 23, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays respectively.

Exceptions will include the following:

  • 255 Mountain Trail to Ski Santa Fe will operate on its non-winter schedule each day Dec. 23 through Jan. 2;
  • The weekend service on the 305 Taos Express will not operate Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. It will operate Dec. 24 and Dec. 31;
  • 341 TSV Green which operates Thursday through Sunday only, will continue to operate on that schedule throughout
