Periodic Lane Closure On DP Road Through Friday

COUNTY News:

Contractors for Los Alamos County are constructing a sidewalk extension along the southside of DP Road from the end of the existing sidewalk east of 6th Street to Trinity Drive.

During this activity, a lane closure on DP Road will be needed periodically.  Contractor employees (flaggers) will be used to direct traffic and pedestrians safely through the work area during these times.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution and follow the direction of the flaggers.

This work is expected to be completed by Friday Dec. 2.

State Police To Conduct Checkpoints & Saturation Patrols In Counties Across New Mexico In December

NMSP News:

New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will be conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols; and registration, insurance, and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of December.

They are bringing awareness to these events to reduce impaired driving-related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

The New Mexico Coalition of Community Foundations and the All Together NM Fund are partnering with UpTogether.

This partnership will provide one-time cash assistance to New Mexicans, with priority to those who have been adversely impacted by the Calf Canyon and Hermit’s Peak wildfires, the largest fires in New Mexico history.
