Fr. Glenn: Of Foot And Flight

By Fr. Glenn Jones:

It’s that time of year again. Yes, yes … tinsel, Santa Clause and the joyous squeals of children unwrapping their treasures on Christmas morn, but also that of a particularly delightful natural beauty here in New Mexico: the migration of thousands—perhaps millions—of various waterfowl down the Rio Grande.

Truck Hauling Load Of Telephone Poles Overturns On N.M. 4

A driver heading east from the Jemez toward Los Alamos at about 3:30 p.m. today was attempting to navigate a sharp left-hand turn on N.M. 4, but his truck was so long that he had to go up on the left bank, which apparently caused his load of telephone poles to shift and the entire truck rolled over onto its side. The cabin remained upright and no injuries were reported at the scene. Photo by Bob Williams

I must admit that initially I watched with a bit of skepticism, however that did change. I thought, I am a 41-year-old healthy pastor in a small mountain community in Northern, New Mexico. I thought the likelihood of me ever encountering this virus or it affecting my life in this small town, off the beaten path, was a slight and even negligible Read More
