Statewide Law Enforcement Agencies Are Out In Force Looking For Drunk Drivers Across New Mexico Roadways

SANTA FE — Law enforcement agencies will be out in force across New Mexico looking for drunk drivers as part of a holiday season safety campaign that also includes new radio and TV ads, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) announced Tuesday.

The law enforcement push runs through Jan. 4.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 30 people die in drunk driving crashes every day in the United States. That’s one person every 48 minutes.

New Mexico Real Estate Market Continues To Be Bright Spot In New Mexico’s COVID-19 Economy.

During October 2020, the state’s real estate market continued to be a bright spot in New Mexico’s COVID-19 economy.

“2,431 October sales were reported to the New Mexico Association of REALTORS (NMAR). This brings the 2020 year-to-date total sales to 21,663, just over 250 sales ahead of 2019’s January through October total,” 2020 NMAR President James Russ said. “October sales numbers were down less than 20 sales from September confirming the traditionally robust summer sales season has continued into fall.”

Atomic City Transit will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29, in observance to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Limited Dial-A-Ride service will resume 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov.  30.
