Wouldn’t it be nice to come and go like gentle snow? Not the hard, wind-driven kind, but the soft kind … the kind that’s nice to kids and dogs. The kind of snow that builds up slowly on the porch railing until it is about six inches deep and bereft of bird tracks.

Then we can scoop some into big cups and pour some syrup or honey on it and once again taste our way back to childhood. We can do it even when our beards are as gray as mine is these days.

Scenes From Turn Lane Work East Of N.M. 502 Roundabout

Scenes Thursday of road construction underway to create the turn lanes east of the N.M. 502 roundabout in Los Alamos. Interestingly, they pave the road first, then cut the asphalt where the turn lane goes and remove the broken up asphalt, then put in the curbing, and finally repave the new turn lane. The operator of one excavators lifting up the cut asphalt with its nice clean edges out of the new turn lane, after which, he loads the now broken pieces of asphalt from the turn lane into the bucket of the other excavator for removal. Traffic Alert: Westbound Traffic On N.M. 502 Roundabout To Exit Onto Trinity Drive By Friday

Traffic Alert:

As part of the N.M. 502 roundabout construction project with the New Mexico Department of Transportation, Star Paving announced Wednesday that it expects to open access for westbound traffic to exit the roundabout onto Trinity Drive, no later than Friday, Nov. 20.

In the interest of safety to the traveling public, as motorists navigate the opened portions of the roundabout, they are reminded to obey the “YIELD SIGNS” and REDUCE SPEED LIMITS as they enter the roundabout.

Vehicles already in the roundabout have the right-of-way.

Every December, Enterprise Bank & Trust’s staff volunteers at the Betty Ehart and White Rock senior centers to provide a special meal. Residents of the centers are served their favorite dishes, accompanied by live musical entertainment to bring in the holiday cheer.
