Was very sorry to see the news of Los Alamos yesterday with a number of shops having been “broken into”… rather an understatement when one looks at the photos. The poor shop owners—first they get hit with closures because of the coronavirus, and now this. “Who woulda’ thunk it” in quiet little Los Alamos? But … it happens once in a while. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Takes Steps To Protect Nation’s Supply Of Gasoline During COVID-19 Pandemic

EPA News:

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Friday several steps the Agency is taking to protect the Nation’s gasoline supply in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

EPA intends to provide additional flexibility to the marketplace to transition from winter-grade, high volatility gasoline to summer-grade low vapor pressure gasoline.

Governor Orders Air Travelers To New Mexico To Self-Isolate

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday issued an executive order requiring air travelers to New Mexico to self-isolate for at least 14 days to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

Air travelers who fail to voluntarily self-isolate will be subject to forced isolation or quarantine by the New Mexico Health Department, Lujan Grisham says in the order.

The majority of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Mexico have resulted from interstate and international travel into the state.

Traffic Alert: Waterline Repair On Diamond Thursday

COUNTY News:

Water crews with the Los Department of Public Utilities (DPU) will drop the east northbound lane on Diamond Drive just past the Sandia intersection to repair a water transmission line. 

Work is scheduled 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26. No interruption of water services is anticipated. 

Motorists should expect some delays and are urged to use caution when driving near the construction zone.

DPU officials thank the public for its patience during this time.
