Young Eagles Flight Rally Lifts Off Saturday

This Saturday, Jeff Scott, past chapter president of the local EAA program and ardent Young Eagle supporter, will help the youth of the community take to the skies once again.

This week’s recipe: Croissants and Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:
 
6 croissants, cut horizontally (you can also use biscuits for this)
2 lbs of Jimmy Dean Sausage (I use one regular and one hot) cooked, drained and crumbled
3 tablespoons of melted butter
3 tablespoons of flour
1 ½ tablespoons of fresh sage, chopped fine
1 ½ cups of milk
¾ cup of heave cream
Salt and Pepper
 
Directions:
 
In a large skillet,cook and drain the sausage. Cool enough to handle and crumble it.

Everfound will perform in concert free at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at White Rock Baptist Church, 80 N.M. 4.

A year ago, before starting my freshman year at Los Alamos High School, my dad took me to a Christian music festival in Seattle, Wash. Unitarian Church Hosts Free Screening Of ‘Gravity’

The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos continues its summer movie series with a viewing of the 2013 Oscar winning hit, Gravity at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, in Robinson Hall at the church. Admission if free.
