The Los Alamos Band Boosters is hosting the Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Roll Run Sunday, Dec. 15 to raise money for the LAHS band program and the LAMS Music Program.

The fun run includes a 5K and a kids 1 mile run for age 13 and under. The run is modeled after the popular Rock and Roll marathons by featuring live music along the routes. Students from the Los Alamos Hight School and Los Alamos Middle School Bands will be playing holiday tunes for the runners.

The community is invited to join the Belisama Irish dancers for a free, fun and lively holiday-themed show, 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Fuller Lodge.

The Belisama Irish dancers have performed and competed nationally and internationally and include dancers of all ages, child through adult.

Pianist and Composer from Mountainair New Mexico Kathleen Ryan joins Los Alamos Arts Council for the December Brown Bag.

The music begins noon Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Fuller Lodge.

In addition to practicing scales and classical repertory on her way to earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, Ryan played snare drum in a marching band; wrote and performed singing telegrams; improvised music for modern dancers; and  composed a folk rock opera based on the Tristan and Isolde legend.
