SUMMER CONCERT News:

Metales M5, The Mexican Brass, perform at 7 p.m. today at Ashley Pond Park in the final Los Alamos County Summer Concert of the season and producer Russ Gordon’s last show as he retires after 28 years!

The free concert is a joint presentation the Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series and the Los Alamos Concert Association.

The Los Alamos County Council paid its respects to Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series Organizer Russ Gordon during its regular meeting Tuesday night in Council Chambers. After 28 years of providing concerts to the community, Gordon is retiring and Friday will be his final concert.

Los Alamos High School graduate Serena Birnbaum has received her Girl Scout Gold Award, which is equivalent to a Boy Scout Eagle achievement.

The Los Alamos County Summer Concert Series is winding down for 2017. Our last three acts are Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys playing this Friday at Ashley Pond Park, Aug. 25 followed by the ‘80s and ‘90s rock band, The Paladins, Sept. 1 and we finish up the year Sept. 8 with Metales M5 – The Mexican Brass.
