Santa Fe Opera: Luke Sutliff To Perform Orfeo Role Tonight

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Opera (SFO) has announced that baritone Luke Sutliff will perform the title role in Orfeo on opening night, (tonight) Saturday, July 29. Sutliff steps in for tenor Rolando Villazón who sustained a minor injury during the final dress rehearsal on July 27 and has been prescribed four days of rest.
The Santa Fe Opera expects Villazón will resume the run of performances Aug. 2 through Aug. 24.

The Taos School of Music’s (TSM) Young Artists are elite, early career musicians on the cusp of major international careers and string quartets by Britten and Beethoven and a trio by Schnittke are performing in Taos today, July 23 at St. James Episcopal Church.
