Fort Stanton Historic Site To Celebrate Mother’s Day With Tea And Opera May 13

NMDCA News:

Fort Stanton Historic Site (FSHS) will host a novel Mother’s Day celebration—one that combines informal teatimes and an opera performance.

The Mother’s Day event is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13. There will be two informal teatimes with an opera performance happening between them.

The informal teatimes will be held in the Commanding Officer’s Quarters building, while the opera performance will be in the Chapel.

Schedule of Events:

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Informal teatime (Commanding Officer’s Quarters);

One year ago, the Los Alamos Hilltopper Jazz Band and their award-winning teacher Ryan Finn made the offer to host a free concert at the senior center.

This Friday at 6 p.m. the crew, along with the Los Alamos Big Band will bring those stylish tones to the Betty Ehart Senior Center.

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Opera (SFO) is pleased to confirm the successful installation of a 214 kW solar power system on its campus north of Santa Fe. Consisting of 431 solar panels, the installations crown the opera’s Cantina at the Dapples Pavilion and Stieren Orchestra Hall, in addition to a ground-mounted array currently under construction.
