Susan Herrera, CEO of the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation, has been elected chair of the Board of the New Mexico Association of Grantmakers.

The Association serves foundations and private philanthropists throughout New Mexico. It hosted a conference “Finding Common Ground: Joining Together to Improve New Mexico” late last year at Tamaya Resort for grantmakers and nonprofits. Pantex High Pressure Fire Loop Project Completed On Time, Under Budget

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Work on the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) High Pressure Fire Loop (HPFL) project at its Pantex Plant near Amarillo, Texas, was completed in December 2013 on schedule and more than $5 million under budget.

LANL Foundation Seeks Scholarship Applicants

LANL FOUNDATION News:

Northern New Mexico students aiming to pursue four-year college degrees are eligible for tuition help ranging from $1,000 to $30,000 from the Los Alamos Employees’ Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships will be announced in March for the next school year. The deadline for applications is Jan. 21.

The fund, which has awarded $3.7 million since 1998, is administered by the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation. Funding comes from donations by LANL employees, contractors and a matching amount from Los Alamos National Security, LLC. Awards are based on academic performance, Read More
