Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) invites Lab retirees (and potential retirees) to drop in at the “First Tuesday” monthly breakfast social, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 2 at Muy Salsas, 1315 Trinity Dr.

LRG pays for everyone’s coffee and tea and attendees pay for their breakfast and other drinks.

If you’re a blogger, chances are you have used WordPress as a platform. It’s one of the biggest blogger platforms out there. If and when I start my blog about cats, cocktails and cybersecurity, I’ll probably even end up using it.

That said, WordPress is notoriously not so great from a security perspective. Outdated software, plugins and themes are one of the bigger contributors to this issue.

NNSA: Comment Period For Old Gas Line Replacement

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Los Alamos Field Office has prepared a floodplain assessment for proposed installation of a new 12-inch natural gas line that crosses through upper Pajarito Canyon and upper Starmer Canyon from Technical Area (TA) 8 to TA-22 at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This week, senior representatives of the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the Cabinet Office of Japan, and the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea (ROK) signed a Trilateral Framework on cooperation in science and innovation.

Under the Framework, the participants will develop a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in early 2024 to facilitate scientific collaboration in critical and emerging technology areas.

Caja Del Rio Coalition Asks For Extention On Public Comment Period For LANL Transmission Line To Avoid Pueblo Feast Days, Leadership Elections And Holidays

SANTA FE — Tuesday, the coalition to protect the Caja del Rio submitted a formal letter to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) requesting an extension to the public comment period for Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) Electrical Power Capacity Upgrade (EPCU) Project.

The project proposal would include construction of an approximate 14-mile, 115-Kilovolt power transmission line across a major part of the Caja del Rio plateau; a culturally and ecologically significant landscape in Northern New Mexico.
