New Mexico State Police Investigate Shooting In Chimayo

NMSP News:

CHIMAYO — New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau were called to investigate a homicide that occurred at a residence in Chimayo.

The investigation began June 17, 2023, when NMSP officers were called to a house on County Road 101 in Chimayo for reports of a verbal argument that occurred between two male subjects.

It was learned that Ray Martinez and Josh Montoya had gotten into an argument earlier in the evening. They both lived on the same property in separate houses.

FBI: Dulce Man Pleads Guilty To Abuse In Indian Country

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, have announced that Christian Quintana, 34, of Dulce, pled guilty to abusive sexual contact and aggravated sexual abuse in Indian country.

A federal grand jury indicted Quintana Oct. 26, 2021. According to the plea agreement and other court records, between Oct. 2012 and Oct. 2013, Quintana engaged in sexual contact with a child, identified as Jane Doe 1, who at the time was less than 12 years old.

FBI Offering Up To $2,000 For Information On Three Men Fleeing After Robbing ATM Undergoing Maintenance In Albuquerque 

FBI News:

The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are asking for the public’s help to identify three males who at approximately 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, robbed a Bank of the West ATM at 5901 Menaul Blvd. NE.

A staff technician was working on the ATM when a male came from behind and forced him away.

The male was accompanied by two unknown persons who assisted in robbing the ATM.

The male wore a black hat, white gloves and a mask.  

The three men are of similar height, approximately 5 foot 6 inches.

FBI: Las Cruces Man Gets Five Years For Child Porn

EL PASO — A New Mexico man was sentenced in a federal court in El Paso Thursday to 60 months in prison for receipt and distribution of a visual depiction involving the sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to court documents, Robey Lynn Humphrey, 58, of Las Cruces, received child sexual abuse material (CSAM) from other individuals on the internet in October 2022. He was arrested Oct. 25, 2022, on a criminal complaint alleging Humphrey coerced and enticed a minor via a social messaging app.

New Mexico State Police Officer Arrested For Sexual Assault

NMSP News:

LAS VEGAS — A female victim reported May 8, 2023 to New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers in Gallup that she had been the victim of a sexual assault by a man who was now a NMSP officer.

The NMSP Investigations Bureau was requested to take charge of the investigation.

Agents learned that in July of 2022, the 20-year-old female victim had been on a two-week New Mexico National Guard deployment in Las Vegas, N.M. She identified Isaiah Cheromiah, 30, of Laguna, N.M. as a fellow soldier, and at the time of the incident an officer with the Grants Police Department.
