Rep. Nate Gentry Pre-Files Measures To Honor And Protect Law Enforcement Officers

SANTA FE – Rep. Nate Gentry pre-filed legislation Thursday to increase penalties for criminals who target police officers.  

The bill, HB 95, would amend the New Mexico Hate Crimes Act to include law enforcement officers to the list of protected classes included in the Act.

SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez announced that Adam Gutierrez, one of New Mexico’s most wanted DWI fugitives, has been captured.

Los Alamos Bomb Squad Calls On The Rise

The Los Alamos Police Department is one of six New Mexico police departments maintaining a fully staffed bomb squad certified by the FBI.

Five certified bomb technicians comprise the local squad, which in 2014, responded to five calls. So far in 2015, they have responded to 23 calls.
