Los Alamos DWI Planning Council Meets Thursday

DWIPC News:

Education is key in the prevention of drinking and driving or other impairments and the local DWI Planning Council (DWIPC) has been working on the issue for a decade in our community.

In order to apply for and receive this grant money, the Los Alamos County Council established the DWIPC through a resolution in 2004. The DWIPC advises the County Council on its DWI plan and spending of DWI grant funds.

State Police Hold Sobriety Checkpoints And Saturation Patrols Across State Through December

New Mexico State Police will be conducting Sobriety Checkpoints, Saturation Patrols and Registration, Insurance and Drivers’ License Checkpoints in all New Mexico counties throughout December.

This effort continues to show a significant reduction in alcohol related fatalities and is attributed to the continued media attention and intensive advertising. Los Alamos Man Involved In Pojoaque Crash In Which Woman Dies

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Los Alamos man was driving a vehicle Saturday in Pojoaque that collided with another vehicle in which the driver died at the scene from her injuries.
