New Mexico State Police officers were sent to assist New Mexico State Probation and Parole officers Nov. 7 at a residence on Camino De Albino in Taos County.
State Police were informed that the officers where conducting a home visit at Daniel Herrera Jr.’s residence. During the visit, the officers and New Mexico State Police officers found items consistent with the trafficking of suspected cocaine and heroin; including scales, records, drug sale ledgers, cell phones, U.S. currency, a digital recorder and various other Items.

The Los Alamos Police Department reports that the driver and only occupant of the 18-wheeler involved in Monday’s fatal crash on N.M. 4 is Garrick Frank, 22, of Fort Wingate, N.M.
Frank was pronounced dead at the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. It has been determined during the course of the investigation that his 18-wheeler was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The County issued an update on this morning’s single commercial vehicle accident, however there is still no report on the condition of the driver involved in the crash.
The N.M. 4 back gate to Jemez Springs remains closed westbound and N.M. 4 eastbound near the Valles Caldera is closed. The N.M. 4 back gate east to Bandelier is open.

A commercial vehicle crashed this morning on N.M. 4 a mile or two past the hairpin turn going west and nearing the Sandoval County line at mile markers 47-48.
Los Alamos Police Commander Preston Ballew told the Los Alamos Daily Post moments ago that N.M. 4 is now shut down along that stretch in both directions until further notice.
