Los Alamos Police have issued charges against one of the driver’s in Monday evening’s three-vehicle collision on Trinity Drive near Timber Ridge Road.

Geraldine Quintana of Santa Fe has been charged with one count of aggravated DUI, one count of abandonment or abuse of a child and one count of careless driving.

Three Car Crash Slows Evening Commute on Trinity

A three car crash occured at Trinity Drive and Timber Ridge Road at approximately 5:25 p.m. today. Two drivers in sedans involved in the wreck were transported to Los Alamos Medical Center for possible treatment.

Los Alamos Police Save Suicidal Man

Seizing literally a split-second opportunity, Los Alamos police officers were able to tase a suicidal man, lunge across the room and snatch his gun away before he could kill himself.

For reasons unknown, Isaiah Cisneros, 26, of Los Alamos threatened to shoot himself on Nov. 24. A woman in his home on 35th Street alerted police.

Cpl. Eric Wilhoit and Ofc. Oliver McCartney responded to the residence and Sgt. Jeremy Duran arrived shortly thereafter.

Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office has cited the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup that went off the road on N.M. 4 Sunday, Dec. 2 and rolled over on the embankment.

Dusty Keane, 18, of Los Alamos was cited for failure to maintain her lane, said SFSO Maj. Ken Johnson during a telephone interview with the Los Alamos Daily Post late Tuesday.

Keane was transported to Los Alamos Medical Center following her one-vehicle rollover Sunday afternoon.

Detectives from the Los Alamos Police Department’s Investigations Division, working in conjunction with the Albuquerque Police Department’s Auto Theft Division, have apprehended a man suspected in the recent rash of auto burglaries in Los Alamos.

Skylar B. Smith, 20, of Rio Rancho, who previously lived in Los Alamos, was arrested Monday, Dec. 1 on a Los Alamos warrant for auto burglary and theft of credit cards.
