NMSP: Española Woman Arrested In Death Of Baby

ESPAÑOLA — April 1, 2025, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers were dispatched to Presbyterian Hospital in Española for an unresponsive 15-month-old child.

Upon arrival, officers learned the child was exposed to Fentanyl. NMSP Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation, where they learned that the mother of the child, Ariana Vigil, 26, claimed that the child was exposed to Fentanyl paraphernalia in the form of burnt foil.

State Police Agents Arrest NMSP Officer For Theft

LAS CRUCES — March 13, 2025, New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau agents began investigating a theft that occurred at 249 North Armory Road in Las Cruces, the New Mexico Army National Guard.

Through their investigation, agents learned that Santiago Pacheco, a New Mexico State Police Officer and Sergeant with the National Guard, and one other soldier were present during sensitive item inventory, in the training months of February and March 2025, from which they allegedly took three pairs of night vision goggles.

NMSP Charge Sierra County Man With Exploitation Of Kids

NMSP News:

SIERRA COUNTY — New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau received a cyber tip, reporting several images of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) were uploaded to a Synchronoss Technologies cloud account.

Through the investigation, agents learned that 44-year-old John Palmerin was the subscriber to the account, which was confirmed to have 17 images of child pornographic material.

LAS VEGAS — April 1, 2025, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau investigated a shooting at 5 Prairie Hill Road in Las Vegas, NM.

FBI: Albuquerque Man Pleads Guilty To Federal Charges For 2023 Crime Spree

ALBUQUERQUE — An Albuquerque man has pleaded guilty in federal court to multiple robbery and firearms charges for a crime spree in the summer of 2023.

According to court records, between July 11, 2023, to Sept. 16, 2023, Demetrius Antonnie Bailey, 41, engaged in a series of armed robberies targeting retail stores in Albuquerque.
