State Police Arrest Suspect Following Multiple Car Jackings

NMSP News:

ALBUQUERQUE – New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers located a suspect who had car jacked multiple vehicles after fleeing from a traffic stop from the Albuquerque Police Department (APD).

The suspect is identified as David Crespin, 36, of Albuquerque.

On Jan. 27, 2024, NMSP received a call from APD regarding a stolen vehicle that fled from them and was driving the wrong way into oncoming traffic on Central Avenue. APD had their air unit tracking the vehicle. NMSP officers were in the area of State Road 333 in Edgewood waiting to assist if they needed to.

FBI: Tohajilee Man Pleads Guilty To Voluntary Manslaughter

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced Thursday that Cole Ray Shorty pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

Shorty, 19, of Tohajilee and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, will remain in custody pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.
